in case you missed my earlier post about this project here's the idea. i had a really nice constallation solid gold TT case set so i decided to get a 2892 skeleton movement and build a custom watch.

here is the results of the project :D

well.......it was a much harder project than i expected.....i had to transplant a taller cannon pinion, shorten the stem, cut a movement spacer, shorten the hands base. reset the keyless works, make longer movement clamps, but it's done! super smooth seconds sweep like a gen rolex... ETA swiss 2892 skeleton movement. looks even better in person! not really a rep anymore! now a one off custom watch :D

what do you think?

I say wow.

the case gold bezel go perfectly with the skeleton color, dunno if it's lightning but it seams the movement is gold too.

Not always a big fan of skeletonize watch, but this one is quite nice, and very original based on a more sportive design, than the usual dressy watch on aligator straps ...

nice work

i'm glad everyone likes it :D i had a few issues and i have to send this one out for a full service. i had an issue with the hour wheel not being held in. usually the dial holds it in but there is none! i got it worked out with a trimmed keyless cover from another 2892 i had. i pressed the seconds hand on too hard and the main shaft is too tight now and needs to be fixed. i'll have a full service done while i'm at it. this one's a keeper :D

anyone good for the full service in cleveland or close by? in USA?
