Which Endlinks for a Jubilee Bracelet & GMT Master

Recommended Posts

I have a genuine jubilee bracelet for my Datejust and I'm wondering if I can put it on a 16710? Is it too narrow and would it look odd? It currently has 555b endlinks for the DJ.

Thanks experts! :D

Not sure about the later models like your 16710, but I think 55x links should fit most standard-sized case Rolexes with 20mm lug widths.

My gen 6542 case accepts a 6510H Jubilee with 55 end links without any problem

Thanks for the input guys. Now for another issue. The 16710 doesn't have lug holes. The 555b endlinks are only meant to work with watches with lug holes (otherwise, how else would you remove the spring bars). So I am guessing that the 555b's won't work. Did they make endlinks to work with a watch case without lugholes, or do only SEL's work?

I do know that on the 16610 Sub, the SEL bracelet came first and then the lugholes disappeared a few years later.

But that's an oyster band.

You might need a more modern jubilee bracelet so that you can access the springbars from the backside.

Anyone?? Help if you can :D

I saw a pic of BT's gen 16710 and I noticed it does have lugholes on it. So it wouldn't be unusual to have lugholes on this one? I know bk's transformer doesn't normally have lugholes, but is it worth it to add some?

Yes indeed. The models up until late 2003/early 2004 or so actually HAD lugholes. 2001-2004 models had both SELs and lugholes. Mine is K-serial 2003 model.

Older RWG members still remember how the rep Subs and GMT's were still offered with this exact combo.

Actually there are much more 16710's out there with lugholes than without them. All older non-SEL T<25 models had them too.

Hey thanks for the responses guys! :thumbsupsmileyanim: I think that answers my question! I guess now I need to see if its possible to add the lugholes to a BK Transformer and how difficult it may or may not be. I would really like to be able to use my gen jubilee on this watch :D

@Red: Check this out.

Actually this is not 16710 but 16700... but that would be like your project watch. I doubt the Jubilee is technically original for these but I'm sure it could have been ordered with one (by special request).

PS: If you're a GMT fan, this page is a must-read.

Thanks BT! Quite an interesting read that! I never knew about the 16700 and it's quite an interesting watch. Also quite like the 16760 "Fat Lady", although it would be nicer with the Pepsi bezel :D
