vlydog Posted September 12, 2010 Report Posted September 12, 2010 I can't tell you how much I missed my 3717 after selling it about 18 months ago. When concepta started offering his franken pieces, the wheels started to turn and the longing for my beloved pilots watch amplified. Luck. patience and persistence has paid off. My original purchase included a model with a genuine IWC movement, super-lumed dial, hands, and a double anti-reflective coated crystal. I was then able to acquire a set of gen hands. a gen dial and a gen crown/tube set. I also opted to have the crystal stripped and re-coated with chief's amazing veneer. A big thank you goes out to chieftang, concepta, Domi and the Zigmeister.

hackR Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 beautiful B!... where did the gen crown/tube come from?...RWG's resident IWC dial source?!... have you found any differences in the bracelet?...is that still rep or gen on your franken?...i need to pick up a rep bracelet for my L-franken and wondered what would be the best source... vlydog Posted September 15, 2010 Author Report Posted September 15, 2010 beautiful B!... where did the gen crown/tube come from?...RWG's resident IWC dial source?!... R- Thank you R. The crown/tube did come from you know who The bracelet I am using is the rep bracelet; keeping my eyes open for a gen at a reasonable price. I found one for 750 but I thought that was a bit to much.
