polexpete
Hiya all, Anyone looking for a V72 this might be interesting. Looks clean but has no winding stem and doesn't mention about how it runs.. maybe worth asking the seller... http://cgi.ebay.com/VINTAGE-MENS-DELBANA-CHRONOGRAPH-WATCH-VALJOUX-72-726-/270632385055?pt=Wristwatches&hash=item3f02f27a1f Cheers P. alligoat
It looks like a bit of a gamble to me. Stems are no big deal, but the watch will definitely require a service- of course most do- and that's $200-300 in the US. But it is a 726 which is a later model of the 72, but I don't know what improvements were made to the 726. It's too bad he didn't reset the 30 minute and 12 hour counters back to zero for the picture- do they really work? It'll be interesting to see if anyone bids. Nice find PP. lhooq
Zero bids suggest someone knows something I don't, and $589 is too much for a pig in a poke. I bet it sells for ~$650 after five guys bid on it in the final minute!
polexpete
Looking at the movement again looks like its running in the pics maybe why the counters are not re-set If anyone picks it up from here i have a winding stem... Cheers P.
dieselpower
I was really tempted. Am looking for a V72 reasonably priced but I know too little and played safe. Thanks for the heads up anyway PP.
alligoat
Good call LH, 4 bids and $637.52!
lhooq
They say my ability to predict events on eBay is a gift, but I assure you it's a terrible curse! A fifth bidder could have driven it up past $650. Maybe that fifth bidder was supposed to be... me?
