Whilst chasing down some info on cleaning machines tonight, I stumbled across this page on winders.

I post it here for the information within, although I have reservations about some of the statements, ( they sound a trifle biased to me )

Thanks for that Alan an interesting read..............but then I checked the winders they were selling...........OMG these guy's are fair dinkum aren't they?

For those of us over here, Fair dinkum is an old Australian expression very roughly translating to mean genuine.

In this context, I think Ken means they are "fair dinkum" about their pricing... meaning its up there. $$$

Like a lot of languages/expressions, this one can get lost in the translation, and actually have several meanings. But the original "fair dinkum" means genuine, as in fair dinkum watches ( as opposed to replicas)

At those prices I would use the quaint Glasgow expression commonly heard around the peoples market known as "The Barras"......................."Yer huvvin a laff son!"
