PeteM
I think on the whole it represents a fair range of decent watches, however with any style magazine I think there is a heavy influence from the watch makers/advertising revenue source rather than the writers objectiveness! Whether its a fair reflection of their readers aspirations I doubt. In the first paragraph I notice that lack of understanding by the phrase ....."some with new movements produced-house.." !!!!! I think thats bourne out in the descriptions made and the choice for example on one based on nothing more than the bright red chrono hand!! tomhorn
Well, it looks like they listed nearly every watch in existence ... couldn't they have narrowed it down a bit ... I do want the Glashutte Senator Chrono XL though. Have been looking for a two register chrono for a long time. The reps of the Patek and Vacheron look beautiful (if not all that accurate) but the price of the gens has always kept me from owning one.

Kept hoping a PAM would show up and lo on slide 12, the European, ( whAt a category) alas the 339, with description only.
redwatch
I really hope the Hermès Carrè H watch gets repped. Agreed. That is a beautiful watch. Also liked the IWC Portuguese Chrono Yacht Club as well as the Cartier Calibre de Cartier. However, I really, really dislike the direction Breitling has gone with the Superocean. That new one is just terrible.
krpster
Quite a range displayed for each category. Nothing really insightful written by the author either. All in all not really much of a "Best New watches", more like "Here is a bunch of new watches" Still, nice to see an article on watches. Some real nice ones in there I hadn't seen before.
