Been off the boards lately due to a busy and hectic work schedule, but I figured I'd drop by to post a thought/idea for a Denver area GTG sometime soon? Ronin and I have been bouncing it around, and maybe it's time to get something going. Time/Date: TBD Location: TBD (but we have a couple of ideas in mind) If there's any interest, please post here and we'll start culminating ideas! Ronin Posted November 4, 2010 Report Share Posted November 4, 2010 Yes, Talks so far have also included making this a "+1" event with Spouses, Girlfriends, Significant Others*. Location will most likely be an establishment that serves adult beverages and small plates. Upscale wine bar/shop, or other. We would have this space/place to ourselves, but to do so might require it be a Sunday. *I attended a GTG for "gens" here in the Rocky Mountain area that included couples, and it was very fun to see the ladies who were equally into watches, ~or~ mingling with others who 'understand' our sickness. I've had a PM or two from interested folks... I think the first step is to determine a date that works for all; and then we can work on determining the 'where'. With the Holidays coming up, I can see schedules being tight, so let's see what works best based on these Sundays: Nov 14 Nov 21 Nov 28 Dec 5 Dec 12 Dec 19 I will check my dates; Ronin, if you want to check yours as well, and maybe we can start narrowing down from there to try to accomodate... Ronin Posted November 9, 2010 Report Share Posted November 9, 2010 Bumpity, Bump... Ok, we have a venue, and we also have additional day possibilities. We can do Saturday afternoon, or basically any day other than Thursday or Friday (this is the venues busy days). Venue. It will be an upscale Wine and Tapas bar. We will have the place to our self, and the general public will NOT be permitted in while we are there with our wares.Food - I have decided to take care of funding the small plates of food. (Meats, Cheeses, etc-- your basic Charcuterie, and sweet plates). For anyone interested in "Traveling" to Denver, I may have access to a 2 bedroom condo/guest suite for $75.00 a night, right in the upscale heart of downtown. If anyone wants to extend their stay and do some Skiing, Snowboarding etc, the mountains should have decent base by then. -or- on the flip side explore the city, I have plenty of vacation to burn and can assist.
