hoovskinstein
Hi all, I am eagerly awaiting delivery of a DSSD Ultimate and a ladies YM from Josh. Both with Swiss ETA. Attached are some QC photos he sent through. I have since replied on some issues I had with the DSSD, which he has agreed to address. Comments welcomed. Jkay
That looks like a perfectly average noobfactory DSSD .. what did you find wrong with it?
hoovskinstein
The coronet in the clasp buckle didn't close flush... And some minor tarnishing on the band. But your right it is one of the best noob DSSD reps I've seen. Mind you i did spell everything out. Very, very happy with the lume from what I can see! Irontomkidd
However, I appreciate the photos as I just ordered one from BK and was interested to see some detail of the Noob bracelet. Thanks
PeteM
Is there something new about the pearl? It looks much cleaner around the edges or is that the angle? Just dont look like my 2 Noob pearls
Jkay
Im sorry to say, but every stainless steel rep watch is going to be a little dirty/oily/greasy when you get it. You have to clean it and perhaps even re-brush it to make it look great. The coronet safety clasp thing is a genuine complaint, tho.

hoovskinstein
Can't wait to see them So my watches have arrived... Have a look
hoovskinstein
But now I have a serious problem with the Clasp of my DSSD... As you can see by the pictures below. The threaded tip of the bracelet pins broke-off inside the clasp lug. The picture with the pin shows the difference in length between a normal bracelet pin and the broken one. The clasp lug thread was stripped, causing the pin to fail(shear) under the torsional load. Has anyone successfully removed a pin like this? I have been looking at precision screw extractors, but none (that I can find on line) are small enough!

tigereat
So my watches have arrived... Have a look how did you order them? from BK? Can you PM me for the price you paid for those two? I want to order some of those. Thanks
plaifender
blahh... common problem on the DSSD. that part is horrible. I have an completely functional extra clasp but the rolex emblem came unglued and fell off. I can send it to you for free if you'd like to tinker with it and try to swap pieces from your clasp and the functional clasp. Yours for free if you'd like As a side note... there are two or three different clasps made for the dssd. So not all the parts are always the exact same length, width etc.. depending on which clasp you have on the bracelet email me for pics of it if you're interested. PM me with your email address and i'll send you pics.
plaifender
I also meant to add that I'd send my clasp with another pin already in it. You could try swapping the diver extension from my clasp for the diver extension on your clasp..
