Thank you all for your kind words and prayers. I am home now with my family and I have been spending every day with my grandfather in the hospital. He really is a stubborn guy. The doctors keep telling us he has maybe hours before he passes on, but then he perks right back up again. I guess he still has some unfinished business, but in the end I am really blessed to have been given the opportunity to see him before he moves on. I will cherish each day that I have with him.

I really do believe that you guys helped out with your warm wishes and I want to thank you all for that. I truly means a lot to me. As many of you have noted, he is a really special guy and has lived a miraculous life on this earth.

Thank you for the prayers. Sadly, my grandfather passed away at 4am this morning, peacefully in his sleep. I am very grateful for the time I got to spend with him this past week.

My eyes can no longer see you smile,

Yet my heart feels its warmth

My ears can no longer hear your voice,

Yet your words of wisdom are etched into each and every day

I can no longer hold your hand,

Yet it still guides my every step

What we see, hear, & touch is only temporary
