the recessed date wheel on the current A7750 really does bother me a lot............

Why? The gen uses a recessed 7750 based movement, not an ETA 7753! How would you change the date? Why would you want to use the wrong movement?

that's how the gen looks since they all use ETA7750 with a modified bridge. So you want to use a more expensive movement to make the watch less like the gen?

I had Francisco mod one of my BB last year and he lifted the date wheel to match the gen more (new 2 Geek DW). He does a very good job, if you're interested maybe drop him a line? There are some pics of the mods he did on the forum somewhere, under this section I believe?

i was just trying to resolve the recessed dw..

the A7750 dw is too recessed, the Gen does not have a recessed dw for sure.............

instead of paying SF for his dw mod, i think it will be cheaper to get the a7753 and stick it in........

Maybe it's lighting, maybe is the Tuiga but most 44mm HBBs have sunken DW. Besides you will lose the ability to quick change the date since that can't be done via the crown with the 7753.

Also with a display caseback I'm not sure the 7753 will the best option if you are really looking for accuracy.

You could, however, get a Swiss ETA 7750 put in the HBB. However, this is not a straight fit and does require some mods.

Or go with the low beat version .. The dw on a couple of my low beats are less recessed than the 28.8 k versions.

Of course, we all know that the only person that will "call you" on the sunken date wheel (should they see it on your rep) will be an AD (if they get close enough) or one of us lot...

If it's an AD, well... you're busted - bad times...

If it's one of us, well... go and have a couple of cold ones together and compare watches - good times!
