signumboy Posted December 16, 2010 Report Posted December 16, 2010 Firstly a big thanks to josh for very fast service. Well what can I say... Wow very impressed looks very good in the flesh.
ryaku Posted December 16, 2010 Report Posted December 16, 2010 Couple of questions please : - how about the bracelet? is there the big gap there was in the 4th gen Po? - Ar looks weak from pics, is that correct or a wrong impression? Thanks mate forgot to say, it looks beautiful, sligtly better than the old 4th gen
signumboy Posted December 16, 2010 Author Report Posted December 16, 2010 I have'nt had chance to size it yet. and a I might move it along. as I've a gen on the way, and then I will decide which one to keep.
signumboy Posted December 16, 2010 Author Report Posted December 16, 2010 The a/r looks good, alot better in the flesh . Though these pics were taken under spot lights. The bracelet is gappy around the end link.
ryaku Posted December 16, 2010 Report Posted December 16, 2010 So i guess there's no improvement on this, that's a shame since a gen bracelet is a costy upgrade Thanks
Guest jsuperman17 Posted December 16, 2010 Report Posted December 16, 2010 How's the he valve position? Is it close to the 4th gen?
signumboy Posted December 16, 2010 Author Report Posted December 16, 2010 Ok sized and wrist shots. I cant compare it to the 4th gen as I've never had one , but as the 4th gen is like rocking horse [censored] then I guess this is as good as it comes. For me I'm more than happy.
danza1812 Posted December 16, 2010 Report Posted December 16, 2010 (edited) Thanks for sharing. Looks really good. Almost identical to 4th gen. Is the clasp much thicker than the bracelet? My 4th gen had that problem. Some qc pics of this model look that way too. How Is the ar? Close to gen? Any chance of exact crystal diameter, I'm wondering if it will transplant onto my 4th gen. luckyman Posted December 17, 2010 Report Posted December 17, 2010 (edited) This does look like an ultimate version of the 42mm. Definitely leaps and bounds ahead of the 4th gen. A little bit better than the UPO. Not perfect but real close Some things i noticed. -AR coating is definitely better than stock out of the box UPO -Pearl is better than the UPO -Improved caseback, not just with the anti-counterfeit logo but with the engraving of the hippocampus -Omega logo is better than UPO but not perfect -He valve is in correct position -The "952" on the bracelet endlink is upside down Also noticed that looks like there is a blemish on the dial on the rightside of the Omega logo. Now that's QC fail. Overall looks good BTW how's the lume on this version? Edited December 17, 2010 by luckyman
mojako Posted December 17, 2010 Report Posted December 17, 2010 yeah how's the lume? According to the Perfect Clone's site, it should have superlume? http://www.1-pc8838.com/0omse00057-planet-ocean-ssss-swiss2824-p-9547.html
signumboy Posted December 17, 2010 Author Report Posted December 17, 2010 lume is typicle rep lume , no super lume here. also no blemish it must be a thumb print on the outer glass.
Migge Posted December 17, 2010 Report Posted December 17, 2010 Damn this looks great, thanks for sharing mate Mike
luckyman Posted December 17, 2010 Report Posted December 17, 2010 Look closely at the right side of the omega logo, there looks to be a chip in the dial print
mojako Posted December 17, 2010 Report Posted December 17, 2010 @Signumboy, Thanks for the reply. Where did you get yours?
ryaku Posted December 17, 2010 Report Posted December 17, 2010 Josh, Perfect clones, is the dealer, he wrote in the first message
mojako Posted December 17, 2010 Report Posted December 17, 2010 @Ryaku, Thanks. So it's interesting why it isn't superlumed when their site says it should be... ODD
signumboy Posted December 17, 2010 Author Report Posted December 17, 2010 Yes you are correct there is somthing near the omega logo, but you cant see it in the flesh . As for super lume all josh states its great lume stick markers. Not super lumed.
rcook Posted December 17, 2010 Report Posted December 17, 2010 I'm looking at Joshua's site right now and the price seems to have dropped quite a bit, also it would seem that the movement is no longer listed as the 25j ETA or Asian clone, it's now listed as an Asian 4813 clone. The price is definitely right but is the movement significantly worse?
robertk Posted December 17, 2010 Report Posted December 17, 2010 I don't know that it is worse, just lower grade. On the non-chrono's it should be reliable. simple movement.....but reliable.
mojako Posted December 17, 2010 Report Posted December 17, 2010 (edited) Oh, so when rep manufacturers say that great lume stick markers, it means regular rep lume. hahaha. Oh well, i was probably expecting more from them. Edited December 17, 2010 by mojako

Did some googling, the 4813 is a clone of the miyota (citizen) 8125 movement of which I have (and had) in at least 2 watches and it works fine so not a problem. I placed my order a little bit ago, can't wait.
