jeff g
Have any of our members ordered and received either the newly offered AP RO jumbo, or the newly offered Diver? Edited December 24, 2010 by jeff g
jeff g
bump...Seemed like there was a lot of interest when the diver and new jumbo were first offered. Has anyone ordered either of these models ?
eunomians
Yes I did. I'll slap up some pics and my impressions tomorrow Cheers
eunomians
Here are some quick and ohh so crappy pics... Initial impressions: 1. I received a sample watch, so my datewheel is not black (although I have a black datewheel on the way to me). 2. Bezel ring does not click nor does the bezel crown screw down or lock. Does the OEM ring click/ratchet? 3. There is no lume on the bezel ring at all. 4. There is essentially non-existant lume on the dial and hands. 5. Dial is great. Fonts, marker outlines, moirée pattern, etc are well executed. 6. My bezel has an uneven finish. Close but not 'Euno-Perfect'. 7. Rubber strap is excellent, solid and does not attract dust. 8. Clasp is marvelous. 9. Caseback is perfect. 10. Case is well-executed and finish is perfect. This watch needs lume. Even crappy rep lume--which this watch doesn't really have. No lume on the bezel and basically no lume on the dial/hands. The bezel ring IMO should lock via pull-out crown of some sort. Maybe the OEM doesn't have this feature, but it makes sense to me that it would/should.

eunomians
Can you good folks let me know who will be offering this 'best version'? Will it be available from the usual sources? Will it have a ratcheting/locking bezel ring? Will it have dial and bezel lume?

mbjoer
Bezel ring not screwing down basically makes it useless/lethal as a diving watch (assuming it is water proof.... ) This one has a way to go before it is there!!
zenpang
how large does it wear? more like AP ROO or AP Jumbo?
ianGP
I'm assuming more like the ROO based on the construction of the case. The RO Jumbo is mucho thinner in relation.
