That is stunning! Is that the original dial color, or has it aged slightly?

The lacquer has probably aged a little. You'll see that the tritium has definitely taken on a nice patina. I've read where some say these were all originally silver dials, while others argued that they were champagne. You could probably spend days on end researching these pieces, there's lots of info out there. All of the original dials that I've seen look like this one.

I'm of the silver dial persuasion myself, but that's because I've got two silver dials which have changed to biege. This DJ on the right and a 1500 Date which I can't find a pic of.
