Guest Sql_pl
Just wanted to share a few pics I took of my PP Aquanaut on gen rubber. Watch is very nice, pretty small, wears even smaller than you'd expect from a 40 mm case but it is extremely comfortable. I love the dial design and color that changes depending on lighting conditions, sometimes it is black, sometimes grey, can get even a bit brown at some angles. Nice numeral markers, decent lume. I am also happy with the way they finished the movement. It is not identical to genuine of course when you look at the back but pearlage on the movement and nice gold rotor surely make it look pretty good for a rep! I wish they made similar effort on a 15300 AP!
mad_man_may
Thanks for the pics. Any chance of a wrist shot??
Migge
Damn, that watch looks so authentic on the front! They did a nice job on the back and it surely looks good allthough its nothing like the gen. Wear it well! Mike
Guest Sql_pl
Wristshots as requested... and even a bit more! Any ideas about what could that be there in the background? Here you can see the building in focus...
Guest Sql_pl
Well it looks like Patek Aquanaut does not generate a lot of interest here. Anyway I thought it was kind of cool - the house pictured above is the house in which Antoni Patek, founder of Patek Philippe was born in 1812 and where he lived till he moved to Warsaw and then to Geneve. LeSentier
Nice watch, nice story! Always admired the Nautilus a bit more than the Aquanaut, but must honestly say that this one is really a beauty. Wear it well! Cheers, J

redwatch
Very cool looking piece! It's slowly starting to grow on me a bit I think. Was it difficult to source a gen strap?
edgematic1
Nice watch and nice pics! nice story as well about Patek A sporty & classy watch.
Guest Sql_pl
Thanks guys. It really is a great watch, can't get it off my wrist! I was surprised to see that even Patek Philippe president Thierry Stern wears his 5167 most of the time, even when he attends some serious PP events:
robertk
This one is one of the best looking Pateks. I have a MBW Nautilus and for me, it's a toss up between the two. Looking at your pics makes me want one. Classy looking and verrrrry accurate.
torresp
IMHO aquanaut is the most underrated patek (maybe due to it's price or due to the fact that it's consider an entry level for pp owners), it has the same movement than nautilus, it's thin, comfortable, waterproof... I love mine, the only fault is that this watch is a scratch magnet. Can't use mine without seeing a new scratch each day Here's mine (gen 5065), wear it yours in good health M. mbjoer
Thanks for showing this. And the little house from where great things developed... Having also seen a Gen, perhaps a couple of pictures of the MBW version are acceptable. It is not a jumbo, but it has engraved rotor.
simzger
thanks so much for the excellent review - i've been waiting for such a nice write up! definitely an underrated one. but is the case size 1:1 compared to the gen? i remember making some size comparisons to the gen a while ago and found some discrepancies (size-wise) but i might also be wrong... and yes i am talking about the jumbo version, not the mbk one. where did you find the gen strap? simzger Edited January 24, 2011 by simzger
jeff g
Great pics. I have often stated here that my Aquanaut is my personal favorite daily beater. I too own the MBK Nautilus, and these two PP reps are as good as they get. Classic Genta designs. The Aquanaut is the most comfortable light weight watch I own. And if you like this watch with the rubber strap, take a look at this watch with the 2010 s/s band, turns this beater diver into a real masterpiece. Thanks for the nice photos.
