The Sage Posted January 24, 2011 Report Posted January 24, 2011 A couple of months ago I decided I wanted a new watch, not being able to afford what I wanted I thought I'd have a look at "Homage" pieces. I started off on the "Homage Forum" , not really being happy with what was on offer with Submariner style watches I ended up looking at replicas, something I'd always turned my nose up at. Initially I was very impressed with what I saw and their great price points .... then I started reading.... this flaw, that flaw, Swiss ETA, clone ETA, this watch, V1, V2 and so on, soon my head was slowly being turned to mush.......then came modding, swapping this and that, gen this, gen that, then making it look period, ageing. So I sit here, some months later, knowing a lot more than I did a few months ago, with my head full of mush and still with no watch on my wrist because what I want is now expensive due to wanting that Super Franken......I've gone full circle!!! Excuse me whilst I go and pull my hair out.
