mojako
My GEN crystal doesn't fit. It went right through. According to my watch modder - i need the GEN crystal gasket for the GEN crystal to fit. Is this true or am i wasting my money? any experience modders? Slan9e
i'm wondering this too.. if we use the gen gasket it will be ok or not? if anyone knows please chime in!
dbutlerman
I can't speak to the 5th Gen, but the original gasket (replica gasket) on my 4th Gen PO was a perfect fit with the Genuine Crystal. I ordered a gen gasket, but ordered a 45mm on accident, so I ended up not using it.
danza1812
Domi has just finished installing the gen crystal on my 4th gen. He said the gen gasket didn't fit so he used the gasket already in the watch and it's fine.
mojako
hmmm looks like the 4th and 5th gen have different cases
ryaku
Apparently the 5th gen is more accurate as it needs the gen gasket as well if i got it right. mojako, was the installation of the gen bezel very painful?
mojako
ryaku, My modder installed the GEN bezel installed in like a minute. It's pretty easy. Plug and play
ryaku
Glad to hear that, I just got mine and i noticed the HV is not flush with the case Is it the same on your watch?
plaifender
Glad to hear that, I just got mine and i noticed the HV is not flush with the case Is it the same on your watch? more than likely a tube issue. the tube might not be seated completely. Depending on what type of tube it is (threaded or smooth), maybe you can remove the valve crown and push the tube into the case more.
ryaku
That's a good idea, I'll try next days after opening the caseback (otherwise i cannot remove the hv crown).
plaifender
That's a good idea, I'll try next days after opening the caseback (otherwise i cannot remove the hv crown). Involves removing the caseback as well as the movement.
