mojako Posted February 14, 2011 Report Posted February 14, 2011 My GEN crystal doesn't fit. It went right through. According to my watch modder - i need the GEN crystal gasket for the GEN crystal to fit. Is this true or am i wasting my money? any experience modders?

dbutlerman Posted February 14, 2011 Report Posted February 14, 2011 I can't speak to the 5th Gen, but the original gasket (replica gasket) on my 4th Gen PO was a perfect fit with the Genuine Crystal. I ordered a gen gasket, but ordered a 45mm on accident, so I ended up not using it.
danza1812 Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 Domi has just finished installing the gen crystal on my 4th gen. He said the gen gasket didn't fit so he used the gasket already in the watch and it's fine.

ryaku Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 Apparently the 5th gen is more accurate as it needs the gen gasket as well if i got it right. mojako, was the installation of the gen bezel very painful?

Depending on what type of tube it is (threaded or smooth), maybe you can remove the valve crown and push the tube into the case more.
