Cardshark00 Posted February 27, 2011 Report Posted February 27, 2011 Was this ever a relevant marking ? Are only certain rep factories stamping the cases with a "R" ?
Dizzy Posted February 27, 2011 Report Posted February 27, 2011 "R" stamped on the back of the rolex case? Do you have a pic of this?
seafoam Posted February 27, 2011 Report Posted February 27, 2011 I've seen this too. I used to have this one (photo from Replicazone/Paul): free image hosting
Justasgood Posted February 27, 2011 Report Posted February 27, 2011 probably because these factories sell these as ChronoTac, Alpha and others, this designation helps with the confusion denoting this case for a Rolex rep.
freddy333 Posted February 27, 2011 Report Posted February 27, 2011 "R" stamped on the back of the rolex case? Do you have a pic of this? Ditto. Cardshark00 - What 'R' stamp are you referring to?
Dizzy Posted February 28, 2011 Report Posted February 28, 2011 Ok i see the "R" stamped in the underside of the lug in the pic above. I have never seen that before and it does not exist on any gen. Justasgood is probably correct. I cant see any other reason for it. This must be on cheaper models without anything engraved between the lugs.
Cardshark00 Posted February 28, 2011 Author Report Posted February 28, 2011 Models with engraving between the lugs have it also
