trombone
I think this is a fake dial, because the L SWISS L is placed to high!
maxman
Im far from being a expert but It also looks like there are some flaws around the edge, above the three. I cant see a gen Panerai dial having these issues,I could be wrong, suspicious all the same.
BGGodwin
I think this is a fake dial, because the L SWISS L is placed to high! +1. Go to Panerai's website, you can see the L SWISS L is lower.
chad
The numbers are about 10 times too big...haha I have seen that dial with big numbers in one place..... Here in Chinatown on the 20 dollar fakes. Edited April 16, 2011 by chad
txcollector
LSML too close to the 6 eBay seller claims it's a sandwich dial but it looks like a sausage one. If sandwich the top plate is way too thin. If sausage it should be a LSL dial (G series). Fake.
StormTooper4
I think that the distance to the 6 can vary greatly from series to series , some of the Auto models 104 practically touch it. Uploaded with ImageShack.us But as txCol said it looks like a Sausage dial and I'm not sure they made 111 with LSML in sausage .the lume looks good though , but that may have been photoshoped. It may be some weird transition/ghost dial. Hard to tell, Those numerals sure do look big though

wheaton26
who cares if it's real or not ... what are you gonna do about the shark bite between the 2 and 3?
txcollector
who cares if it's real or not ... what are you gonna do about the shark bite between the 2 and 3? when mounted it's not that visible. If this was a gen dial it would be worth the $
StormTooper4
I just found this 123 , pretty fat numbers and well close LSML , could be a similar year Uploaded with ImageShack.us
Watchmeister
I vote fake for a whole bunch of reasons. It is always difficult to tell from pictures but a combination of the spacing on the l Swiss l text, the formation of the 6 and a very straight run on the long side, numerical thickness versus text thickness and even what is going on where the chip is. I have seen a good number of chipped dials and this one looks off in terms of what is underneath.
chiman12
yeah...I was the guy that bought the dial...then looked at it further...the spacing between the 6 and the "swiss made" didn't bother me. It was the 6 itself. If it is am M series dial, the tail of the 6 should be shorter and rounder...on this dial, it looks more like a FGD pre-v 6. In any case, the seller refunded me. Thanks one again guys, this is why I like this forum so much!
