Finishing touch on the Laureus

Recommended Posts

If the sec@6 7750 wasn't so problematic, I'd own every combination of this watch.

The gen crown is a nice touch indeed. The rep crown (fish) looks a bit fake IMO.

One thing that kind of bothers me about this particular model is the 0001/2000 numbering on the caseback.

Beautiful piece! Congratulations.

Unfortunately, that's the way they come out of the factory.

One possible solution is to buy a standard 3714 with white tachometer ring and install a Laureus rep dial (~$40) or a gen from concepta. It wouldn't be accurate either, as a Laureus Portu would have the special engraving on the caseback.

But the OP's watch is beautiful!

I was wrong on the caseback numbering on this model. I was confused with the 3717 Laureus. Furthermore, the 3717 is not even numbered 0001, but 0003 if I'm not mistaken. Not sure how I came up with the 0001.

Here's the caseback for the 3714 Laureus
