The most updated Deepsea is the "Ultimate V" sold by many dealers, including Perfect Clones. Regarding "BK's Watch Garage", BK is a watch modder, so what he does is buy watches in bulk, and improves them then sells them with improvements "as new" .. think of an AMG Mercedes or a Callaway Corvette.

Depending upon your budget, certainly the BK DSSD is superior. You pay for the base watch plus his work and expertise.

If you look on the dealer sites, you can choose between genuine swiss ETA movement for $368, chinese ETA clone movement for $258 or Asian 21j movement for $128

I really like my new DSSD I picked up a couple days ago. The all-around quality is better than the sub I got last year.

Will have to see what mods BK could do for me.

He has a famous "gen-like" datewheel.

The only mods people generally make to the DSSD is to seal the He Valve from the inside with epoxy, re-lume the hands, pearl and dial, datewheel overlay from BK .. and a full service.

Very few people have had Chieftang's famous mil-grade AR coating applied .. it removes the charming bubble dome effect.

I personally went with the BK... then put the Trevor bezel insert in it... relumed it and repolished it and got Uwe to AR the crystal... must say I am very happy with it

Haven't read all the posts but i think the best Deep Sea sea dweller comes from ROLEX, I heard that they were not going to continue selling the watch past this year as it has not been as popular as expected. Better get in quick

This is from perfect clones and can hardly be faulted as a rep, though as a watch it sits heavily on the wrist and may not look too good on smaller ones.

For the DSSD....I'd go with BK.

I had one a couple years back....well worth it to let BK work his magik...IMHO
