Is it good like it is or does it realy need some mods?

If so, wich mods is a most?

There's plenty of info concerning this topic available here, you will really have to do a lot of reading when you want to do one of these right.

Standard mods are, crown and crystal and his bracelet is also awful so you might want to consider one of Yuki's. The case accepts all genuine parts so sky is the limit. Mine is currently fitted with a gen crown, crystal, bracelet as well as a genuine dial.

If you can locate a gen & have steady hands, you might also want to replace the crown on the dial

Thanks. This is 1 of DW's newer bezels (though it is still a roll-of-the-dice as to what you will receive), which also got the flat-top 4 correct. Frankly, if I did not know the source, after you clean it up (these things arrive with (easily repairable) mars in the finish (as you can see below) & blotches of paint everywhere), it looks gen. I would never ID this as an aftermarket bezel

Aside from the inner diameter issue, DW really does make the best bezels for the Daytona (and the Tudor 7032, for that matter). I've had the chance to directly compare them with a genuine example, and the engraved fonts on the 300UPH bezel are a very close match. Unfortunately, DW's 200UPH bezel (which comes with the 6265) is not quite as nice--the unserifed 7s are a minor tell.

Also, the DW bezel is slightly off when viewed in profile. It is taller than the genuine and, consequently, the upper surface of the DW bezel is more steeply angled. Finally, the gen has a more rounded edge. I don't think that's due to polishing, as the one I examined was not in terrific shape.

I have to disagree with you. The profile of the 300 UPH bezel on my 6239 matches those on pages 58-59 & 118-119 in my Daytona bible. Same case with most of the gens in my pic archives.

The 1 area where all steel aftermarket 62xx bezels differ from their gen counterparts is the grain of the metal & its finish. Most aftermarket bezels I have seen, including all of DW's, Phong's, NDT's, etc, are highly polished (more or less), while the gens seem almost brushed in contrast. Not actually brushed, but they do not reflect light as brilliantly as the aftermarkets do. That said, differences in finish can easily be chalked up to the procedure the last watchmaker used to polish the watch. So that is not really an issue.
