Perhaps the adhesive weakened the plexi enough, that the stress lines in the material had an opportunity to become stress fractures. :g:

The UV cement I have is a cyanoacrylic compound not too unlike superglue. I suppose it could react with/weaken plexi...

The reason I care about this, is that grinding off the cyclops of a Clark's and re-attaching a new cyclops is an almost perfect solution for all the PT 1680 people out there with DWs and cyclopses out of alignment

I haven't seen any plexi cyclopses yet - but you don't really see the difference. When I had the mineral crystal cyplops glued on the plexi it looked perfectly right. I couldn't see or even feel a difference.

I might try again with another cyclops - maybe it was just bad luck that the plexi cracked...
