Ueno
Hi guys Is there a good vintage GMT master that takes gen parts like crystal, crown, tube, ect.... Any help or advise would be really appreciated...
dutchguy2
No, not really. Most people take a 1655 and convert it into a 1675. If you do a search on the 1655 you will find a lot of post about the conversion.
naveedgt
I heard over on repgeek that josh has everything necessary to make a 1:1 1675, but I don't know if this is true or not.
alligoat
Like dutchguy says, you can build a conversion with the 1655 from Josh, but it's not cheap. There's supposedly a good 1:1 rep coming out, but we haven't seen it yet. Keep your fingers crossed.
Rolexaddict
I heard over on repgeek that josh has everything necessary to make a 1:1 1675, but I don't know if this is true or not. This is true. He has everything, even a gen dial, also tech./specs. doc. The problem, he has to find a maker who wants to invest money to product a complete 1675 rotating bezel and dials. Its probably more juicy to produce modern Subs Probably the maker who makes the 1655 is not interested by the 1675 conversion, and no one other wants to start a 1675 from scratch. Probably not enough sales potential.
