PAM 088 GMT CG issue help needed.

Ok, so I bought a modified ultimate 088 from a fellow member.

However I find the CG and the lever a little sad. I dont have the snap that I got on a few other PAMS.

This is whats on it right now:

Is there anything better to buy for it to have the snappy feeling?

file the CG feet down a little at a time, or put another oring in

There are various options. You could lookup one of the CG modding threads on the forum using search. You could purchase a custom cg (Goin, LH, SeadNembo, etc.). Or you could source one of the newer CGs from the sales section, and hope it fits, or mod it if it doesn't (never any guarantees that it will fit "out of the box" when dealing with reps).

What you chose depends upon a couple of things. First, what series is the 088? Next, the crown dish depth must be taken into account - deep dish needs a long end lever portion, shallow dish means end lever portion probably will need shaving.

If you want more accurate input, best to take some more pics of your CG and crown at various angles, with lever open and closed.

Thanks Andy. But wont the filing cause the CG lever to not sit flush?

Isnt there a better CG to buy that snaps?

I had a PAM with his CG and it's very nice. Had to mod the feet and CG lever to get it to fit the T crown but it snapped nicely!
