The gold hallmark tell mentioned at the end is a common one to the rep world. In far too many cases the rep makers get this totally wrong. Recently I have seen the Blue Ceramic Submariner without hallmarks. This is supposed to be a white gold watch. Conversely I have seen a Green Ceramic Submariner with hallmarks. This is supposed to be in steel. In far too many Gold reps there are no hallmarks at all. That is a shame as it is the sort of thing anyone can see if they know nothing about the specific watch but a little about precious metals.
