www_watch Posted October 23, 2006 Report Posted October 23, 2006 Hi! Dunno why nobody mentioned it so far? (maybe someone already did and I just missed it?) There's a new 45mm PO on trustytime with some pretty nice improvements. It has all the nice features of the last generation like: 22mm lug size, correct bezel and "Professional"/"Planet Ocean" on clasp. PLUS "12", "9" and "6" on the dial correctly reduced in size, and WAY better datefont. Last but not least the price is VERY tempting. What do you think of it? Seems like we're already REALLY close to the real deal with this one. Any flaws left that I didn't notice?
Devedander Posted October 23, 2006 Report Posted October 23, 2006 I think I saw this brought up before... Omega is too big and hands are a bit small maybe? Overall looks hot and yes the price is right... I am looking for an Omega dealer in my area to see if I like the smaller size more in the end... Ever wonder if ADs get suspicious of people comming in, trying on a watch, then having it next time they come in but not having bought it?
ubiquitous Posted October 23, 2006 Report Posted October 23, 2006 Ever wonder if ADs get suspicious of people comming in, trying on a watch, then having it next time they come in but not having bought it? Nah... They probably don't ever remember who came in and when anyways.
watchlover321 Posted October 23, 2006 Report Posted October 23, 2006 I think you're talking about an older rep (4th gen). This one is newer, I saw it on Andrew's site a couple days ago.. The hands look the right length to me.. I think I saw this brought up before... Omega is too big and hands are a bit small maybe?
andreww Posted October 23, 2006 Report Posted October 23, 2006 The black triangle on the bezel still doesn't have the orange keyline around it.
Nebakanezzar Posted October 23, 2006 Report Posted October 23, 2006 Orange bezel looks like crap! the orange of the 4th gen is accurate, this one is horrible....the rest of it looks guud though..
Dario33 Posted October 23, 2006 Report Posted October 23, 2006 Orange bezel looks like crap! the orange of the 4th gen is accurate, this one is horrible....the rest of it looks guud though.. That's what jumps out at me as well. I prefer the 4th version (despite the 20mm lugs) for this reason alone.
bkdc Posted October 23, 2006 Report Posted October 23, 2006 I agree. 4th Gen 42mm is the way to go. The Omega symbol still has those little tails on it and looks too big. The bezel isn't very accurate. I do applaud the improvements though. The hand length looks good.
AMK000 Posted October 23, 2006 Report Posted October 23, 2006 Even though I was after the black bezel (dont like orange watches) .... well here are my comments regarding this: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?s=&...st&p=136633
r11co Posted October 23, 2006 Report Posted October 23, 2006 Black bezel, rubber strap please (tum tee tum...)

JosePR Posted October 24, 2006 Report Posted October 24, 2006 the omega symbol on the dial looks funky
