speedbird100 Posted October 9, 2011 Author Report Posted October 9, 2011 I'm in love with this thing! put it on a nato which matches the patina...pics to follow
chrgod Posted October 9, 2011 Report Posted October 9, 2011 Seems like a decent watch. Too bad with the thin, greyish text and logo on the dial.. Thats a dealbreaker for me.
highoeyazmuhudee Posted October 16, 2011 Report Posted October 16, 2011 nice watch for the price, but nothing to take seriously
speedbird100 Posted October 16, 2011 Author Report Posted October 16, 2011 if you can't say something nice...
highoeyazmuhudee Posted October 16, 2011 Report Posted October 16, 2011 i said it was a nice watch for the price
plymman Posted October 16, 2011 Report Posted October 16, 2011 It's cheap but it looks great, there may be tells but you can get away with a lot when it comes to vintages. Nice buy I think, it's another to add to my list ad nice to see an off the shelf Tudor at a realistic price for once.
what2 Posted October 17, 2011 Report Posted October 17, 2011 I must be blind, I can't find this model on the sites?
Ephry73 Posted October 17, 2011 Report Posted October 17, 2011 Hey Speedie, for the money, you cannot beat it. Age the dial just a bit, spray some of the matte lacquer on it( I used the one for carbon pencils found in art stores) and soften the case a pic. No one will question it much. You'll end up with something similar to this(except my dial is supposed to be Gen)
speedbird100 Posted October 18, 2011 Author Report Posted October 18, 2011 Yep, I'm gonna start that project once I get the case back engraved
Ephry73 Posted October 18, 2011 Report Posted October 18, 2011 I'm sending mine to JMB next week. Should be a fun project for sure. Plus, you didn't spend that much at all. E
chrgod Posted October 18, 2011 Report Posted October 18, 2011 Looking great on the Nato. That brings out the best in it!
speedbird100 Posted December 7, 2011 Author Report Posted December 7, 2011 It's the same 1680 case PT uses. Bezel is pretty decent
speedbird100 Posted December 10, 2011 Author Report Posted December 10, 2011 Finally got the folded oyster bracelet installed
Ephry73 Posted December 10, 2011 Report Posted December 10, 2011 Whose folded? Is that JMBs work? My case back came back. I had the wrong address. E
speedbird100 Posted December 10, 2011 Author Report Posted December 10, 2011 The case back is pure JMB but the bracelet is a Frankenstein built by me
Ueno Posted December 10, 2011 Report Posted December 10, 2011 It's the same 1680 case PT uses. Bezel is pretty decent Does it take a clark or gen crystal? Thanks mate
speedbird100 Posted December 11, 2011 Author Report Posted December 11, 2011 I think so, but not sure
Ephry73 Posted December 11, 2011 Report Posted December 11, 2011 Looking good. Told ya you should've kept it. E
turnipz Posted December 11, 2011 Report Posted December 11, 2011 (edited) Looks good, is a bit of a shame though as such a rare model deserved to be a bit more rare. As long as they dont make a proper monte carlo or snowflake though I'm happy. video of it though, from their website: http://www.puretimewatch.com/puretube/fpembed-60397e00f.swf Edited December 11, 2011 by turnipz
mem0rex Posted December 14, 2011 Report Posted December 14, 2011 Hi guys Sorry for the stupid question but who is JMB? I have the same Tudor from PT and also want so case back
