Do The Current 007 Smp Still Have The He Valve Flaw Being Placed Directly Placed At The 10 Position?

That model was a loooooooooooong time ago now. Just look at dealer pictures to see the Helium valve placement, or skip the SMP and get the SMP chrono which has it in the correct place.

Yea it was a looooooooooooooooong time ago. I should have bought it when Eddie offered to sell me his last piece last yr. I've been kicking myself since. :black_eye:

The dial on the smp chrono looks too busy for me. Do you know what flaws are currently present in the smp chrono? Thanks

Do some searches and ye shall find.

SMP Chrono looks as good as it gets. I think only screws in bracelet, but I have a titanium genuine SMP chrono, so haven't really had a long look at the rep.

Search around, the answers are there. Look in photo gallery and real vs genuine.

Yup. That and a slightly oversized pearl and a misalignment of the bezel insert (which certain dealers will rectify for you before shiping ;) )

I'm another one who regrets not buying a '2892' SMP at the time, although it has since transpired the movement within wasn't in fact a 2892 but a Seagull ST-18. Still a very worthy and desirable piece though!

Hi all.

I bought the SMP 007 special edition ( 40 years of 007) from Ruby at RWI.

The HE valve is in the correct position ( about 51-52min position) and the bezel is correctly aligned.

(But pearl is bad)

Is supposed to have swiss movement. ( Looks correct for me, but I am no expert. I know it keeps good time :D )

Here are some pics of my watch. ( Is the ones Ruby takes before she ships it to you so you can confirm it is what you want )

As you can see from the last pic it even have the small serialnr in place.

I have an original 2892 based 007 SM from EL. It has been worn I would guess 2-3 times. Though I love the watch I have a couple of blue faced gens so for whatever reason I just don't wear it. On top of that I just ordered a PAM 87 from EL, again with a blue face.

SO, if anyoen is interested in a 2892 007 SM with correct everything drop me a PM. It is a GREAT watch for sure. I only have a few posts here but have been around TRC and the other RWG forever.

Is it me, or do one of the wheels look rusted in that picture? :g:

Looks that way to me also, in both photos. Perhaps since the image is sligltly blurred at that gear, it may be the camera or light conditions.

TVT, PM sent.

Thanks to everyone who PM'ed me...

I have replied to those I could (Chronus, your box is either locked or full so I could not reply).

I did not realize that there was such pent up demand for the old (accurate) version wth the awesome 2892. I always found it to be one of the absolute best fakes I have ever seen. It is a great watch. One annoying thing about my particular watch is that the INSIDE of the case back is all scratched up. I never bothered ipening it untill a few months back (long after I got it) and saw that this was the case, it came that way from the factory. Now it is meaningless as it will NEVER be seen EVER but it still bugs me. I guess if I sell it the new owner could source a replacement back...

Speaking of which. When I made that post I really had not thought about price or anything and I have to take some shots of it as well... So once I am ready to sell I will post some shots and have a price. Sorry for the false start, I need to look up what I paid and so on.

Good luck, I'd love to see pictures of this particular watch.

I have a SMP at Omega Service Centre since before the summer. Haven't been able to pay the charge to get it back, I just hope they don't start charging a storage fee like Breitling do!

Oh yeah, best to email me (use the email link in profile), as I can't seem to archive PMs.
