cougar1 Posted December 27, 2011 Report Posted December 27, 2011 http://www.prestigetime.com/item/IWC/Vintage-Ingenieur-Automatic/IW3233-01.html It's a rerelease of the vintage ingenieur auto. Absolutely gorgeous watch, beautifully simplistic design.
ryaku Posted December 27, 2011 Report Posted December 27, 2011 Agreed, she's a beauty. Maybe a little bit too thick for my taste
cougar1 Posted December 28, 2011 Author Report Posted December 28, 2011 Agreed, she's a beauty. Maybe a little bit too thick for my taste Wow yeah, agreed, 14.5mm, didn't realise that it was that chunky, it is very thick for a dressy watch, it would have a similar profile to a diver, ....12-ish mm would've been a nicer profile for this type of design. Still a beauty though!
japanic Posted December 28, 2011 Report Posted December 28, 2011 (edited) It is a but curious, JLC released the Master Control ultra-thin around the same time, but I suppose this is harkening back to the days when anti-magnetic watches were new and more for function and intended for engineers. It really reminds me of the PP calatrava 5127. Edited December 28, 2011 by japanic
AsiadeCuba Posted December 28, 2011 Report Posted December 28, 2011 Yeah that's classy but 14.5 is a bit thick
Adeodatus Posted December 28, 2011 Report Posted December 28, 2011 A perfect watch. A bit thick for a dress watch, but the dial is so balanced, beautiful combinations of SS on the dial, the hands are a piece of art. I love it.
Bardamu Posted December 29, 2011 Report Posted December 29, 2011 Beautiful design indeed. But I agree with others above : thickness is too important (IMHO) for a dressy and very classical watch. I'm noob in rep's world and maybe I'm wrong, but it seems that there are not so many reps of this pure and classical style. It's pity ! Paul
drury Posted January 6, 2012 Report Posted January 6, 2012 if they rep'd this and screwed up the thickness, we'd have an awesome dress watch kind of hoping the makers will release two versions, one correct and one "flawed"!
