Bainzey Posted December 28, 2011 Report Posted December 28, 2011 http://gb.ioffer.com/i/2011-latest-rolex-classic-watch-automatic-mechanical-watch-1-215527638 I love this watch, but the quality of that rep looks rubbish.. anyone know where I can get a better quality one? Alex
calatrava Posted December 28, 2011 Report Posted December 28, 2011 That is a fantasy watch, Rolex doesn't make watches with open heart complications.
speedbird100 Posted December 28, 2011 Report Posted December 28, 2011 Try the Cellini line, maybe something in that lineup you'll like
fotoman Posted December 28, 2011 Report Posted December 28, 2011 eek -- you can search for tourbillon - they aren't cheap. aldo zenith has open balance wheel models that there are not bad reps of. also faux tourbillon will show much better alternatives
StormTooper4 Posted December 28, 2011 Report Posted December 28, 2011 Oh thats just nasty is it the plain black dial or the exposed movement you like? As mentioned Zenith is a good gen but these could be fantasy
Bainzey Posted December 28, 2011 Author Report Posted December 28, 2011 exposed movement, it looks horrible in that 'rep' but i can imagine a good one would look nice. I'll look for soemthing else then! Thanks guys
maxman Posted December 28, 2011 Report Posted December 28, 2011 I have always thought these looked pretty good.
fotoman Posted December 28, 2011 Report Posted December 28, 2011 These zeniths are my grail or my new grail I should say. The rep is actually not bad. It's a little misaligned compared to the gen, but still good. The only issue I am waiting on, is these are 40mm and I want the 44mm version. I'm surprised they didn't make them, it's just a wider dial, same opening, Those aren't fantasy models. There are dozens of variations. This is my fav

fischyyy Posted December 28, 2011 Report Posted December 28, 2011 I would not buy a rep Open Heart watches, they are spottable as a fake from 20feet away. That Rolex is utter fantasy. If you want a complication, buy a Tourbillon, they are pretty good. They go for around 500-800 Dollars.

If you want a complication, buy a Tourbillon, they are pretty good. They go for around 500-800 Dollars. this isnt true - when watches are trying to mimic tourbillon then they are recognized by watch experts as fake, but there are exposed balance wheel designs on purpose. look at my zenith. the circles out line the escapment and balance wheel. the rep movement, which is not a off the shelf skeleton, is only slightly off from aligning. if it was 44, id be comfortable with them. if they weren't 400 id get the 40. but size + price are not right the chinese tourbi's are great. but also delicate and impossible to service. be aware. i killed one cause i put it in checked luggage.
clkcadet Posted December 30, 2011 Report Posted December 30, 2011 I have always thought these looked pretty good. good save! that zenith is the way to go if you want an open heart watch. My good buddy has the gen and it is a beautiful watch!
