duke1973
Just got this one in from Puretime today and after unwrapping it and inspecting it I noticed something that I think is wrong? Isn't the dial supposed to say "Oyster perpetual DATE" ??? What other blatant flaws does it have? You vintage experts need to help me out here, is the case back correct? Thanks
Raijor
Here is a web site for reference and you can confirm that both "Oyster Perpetual" and "Oyster Perpetual Date" are correct for the COMEX Rolex. You have got a really nice watch there. Cheers http://diving-watch.net/COMEX-ROLEX-
freddy333
While nice-looking, your new watch is not an accurate specimen of a genuine Comex 1665. Read this.
highoeyazmuhudee
much is not right. the dial crown is incorrect, the marker plots are too thin, the date window aspect is off, and the crown guards are too stunted.
praetor
it seems puretime got a different source for the 1665 now. >.> It no longer has the correct lug hole size and comes bevelled.

duke1973
That's what I figured.....Chalk up another one to "lesson learned"!! I can live with the small things but not when there are this many!! Thanks for the replies, it will be for sale soon......
duke1973
I also noticed this dial has 2000m-600ft.....All the others I've seen have 2000m-610ft??
perry563
This is not the better series of vintage reps Angus has for sale. Note that pearl. The better versions have a gen like pearl ala ofrie type. However my experience with the better versions has not been a good one. it's overall more accurate but QC issues abound.
