Guest abasf Posted January 23, 2012 Report Share Posted January 23, 2012 I've been trying to find some info on this watch but almost seems impossible... i can't find a gen picture of it which makes me think that its probably never been manufacture by IWC... maybe some of you guys have seen this one before im looking for something casual, with a functioning power reserve and date calendar, similar to a design like the iwc... Functioning power reserves are not that casual, in my opinion. Maybe look at the big pilot, they exist with functioning pr. But they're biiiiig! Val. mbjoer Posted January 29, 2012 Report Share Posted January 29, 2012 (edited) What distinguishes a good from a bad fantasy is the extent to which the result is plausible. Could it have been made by IWC? Here the answer is no. The first and obvious point is that IWC would not make an open heart model to look like a tourbillon. Also the design elements here are a funniy mis-match with has no parrallel in the IWC line-up. It is meant to resemble the Portuguese tourbillon, but has ended up a long way away. On the back the thick stickers are another obvious tell. This is very obviously not a genuine article, and in contrast to many other reps this one is fairly easy to tell, even if you do not know much about IWC.
