Ylfig Posted February 19, 2012 Report Posted February 19, 2012 Looks great! Where's the leather nato from?
Olivax Posted February 19, 2012 Report Posted February 19, 2012 Hi Franck, It looks great but I think the pearl is a bit weird. I own the gen and it's totally different. Enjoy it and wear it well
Star69 Posted February 19, 2012 Author Report Posted February 19, 2012 yes the pearl got lost half way - or was knocked down - its still glowing .. strange saw a few inserts like this .. the Nato is this one : http://www.uhrenarmband-versand.de/Uhrenbandversand-p2132h1521s921-Uhrenarmband-22mm-br.html i aged is myself - will get now the 22mm version as it shrank a little cheers, Frank
Star69 Posted February 19, 2012 Author Report Posted February 19, 2012 Aged it how? Looks great! i left it in bleach for an hour or so - rubbed the sticky brown material off - let it dry slowly and used some mink oil to get is softer again.
theapexseal Posted February 20, 2012 Report Posted February 20, 2012 wow gorgeous! Love it! I would keep it on the leather
Star69 Posted March 4, 2012 Author Report Posted March 4, 2012 and here with the Yuki bracelet - iis highly rec for the price - the bracelet feels super solid - after a few days im still impressed. cheers, Frank
prospex44 Posted March 4, 2012 Report Posted March 4, 2012 Frank, really stunning build. Many congrats. Looks amazing on the bracelet, but there is also something about the leather that I like! Was the Gen movement hard to find? Sent from my HTC Vision
Star69 Posted March 4, 2012 Author Report Posted March 4, 2012 Frank, really stunning build. Many congrats. Looks amazing on the bracelet, but there is also something about the leather that I like! Was the Gen movement hard to find? i got lucky on VRF
Omega Posted March 4, 2012 Report Posted March 4, 2012 Nice build! It's my favorite Rolex model, BTW. Would only need some finetuning for my taste... Some pics of the movement possible? Thx Wear it in good health, Frank...
Robaer Posted March 5, 2012 Report Posted March 5, 2012 and here with the Yuki bracelet - iis highly rec for the price - the bracelet feels super solid - after a few days im still impressed. cheers, Frank Is that Yuki's solid midlink bracelet? How is it compared to the PT?
Star69 Posted March 5, 2012 Author Report Posted March 5, 2012 Is that Yuki's solid midlink bracelet? How is it compared to the PT? it has hollow middle links - i did not get PTs yet. @Omega : fine tuning ? tell me more - im open for suggestions
Mapman57 Posted March 5, 2012 Report Posted March 5, 2012 Fantastic build Frank and that leather Nato looks great - and such super value at €11! Gonna try that ageing technique (bleach and Mink oil) on one myself.
Robaer Posted March 5, 2012 Report Posted March 5, 2012 it has hollow middle links - i did not get PTs yet. @Omega : fine tuning ? tell me more - im open for suggestions Thanks for your reply. Is this the one?
Star69 Posted March 5, 2012 Author Report Posted March 5, 2012 Thanks for your reply. Is this the one? yes - thats the bracelet.
Robaer Posted March 5, 2012 Report Posted March 5, 2012 yes - thats the bracelet. Ok. It looks really nice and it fits the case perfectly. Does it have 93250 stamped on the bracelet and clasp?
Omega Posted March 5, 2012 Report Posted March 5, 2012 @Omega : fine tuning ? tell me more - im open for suggestions - bezel on top needs the flat bevel, biggest giveaway - needs only one light break to spot it as fake from 2 meters:) - CG's need sharp edges from inside, everything is too round - case needs to be thinned, MBW cases are too fat That would be the things I would do...and plese some pics of the movement.

And don't forget about the crown height... I can agree about the inner corners of the CG's, new looking dial and hands should have a case with a sharp look to it still, imho. A matt tritium dial on the other hand can have a softer looking case, and it would even help rep parts blend in.
