ETA2824 stem problem! Please help

I have a ETA2824 movement fitted into my Tudor watch. Run flawlessly.

Recently I found the screw crown does not sit close enough to the case, it has slight gap in between. I couldn't take my eyes off every time I wear the watch.

Decided to change the stem and order a few stems(and other stuff) from our trusted supplier, Watchbitz (outstanding service).

Turned out the stem from my movement was different from standard 2824's stem ( see photo - the one on the left is from Tudor, standard 2824 stem on the right). My watchmaker advised that the one from Tudor has extender on it and never seen one with twisted top part.

Has anyone came across such stem before and if so, where can I get one?

The next question I keeping asking myself whether this is a genuine movement? (I would be very upset if it not)

Experts, please chime in to advise

Thanks heaps

ck

That is a 2824 not a 2824-2

the stem is different between the models

i think the stem you will need to order is one from a 2782 series movement,

no reason why the movement is not genuine, after all it is nothing more then an older ETA with a tudor rotor any way, there is nothing different apart from the engraving from any other ETA of the period in any other watch make

Seen that animal before...

It is called "helicoidal" and is due to the fact that FxrAndy mentioned, older 2824. For reference the keyless works are different from the modern ones as well. I got a replacement of this type from Ofrei.

Now lets see a shot of the watch that baby is in.
