That pic of the bike, in Cuba I'm assuming, is a masterpiece, I love it.

Actually it is in Modena, Italy...

Here's the story on this indeed "masterpiece"...

chiossigloria7.jpg

Paolo Chiossi worked his magic once again, this time with a circa-1940s Gloria frame. While Paolo’s

refinement is masterful, it also serves to highlight the quality of construction that made Gloria famous

in the ‘30s and ‘40s.

The frame has been resprayed in a shade similar to Bianchi’s ‘celeste’ but with a touch more green.

The drive train has been updated with a modern internally geared system, and a dynamo hub in the

front to power the headlight. The wooden hand grips are a wonderful detail, as is the Ghisallo rims.

Once again, Paolo assigns his restoration with his signature gold badge on the seat tube. The perfect

vehicle for traversing the cobbled alleys and laneways of Modena.

Sorry, been away too long...

Sometimes life just catches up and then kicks into high gear...

But I'm good when this happens to draw a line, get away, and re-center myself...
