feefree
I have never been a huge fan of the DLC watches perhaps I have never come across one that i can WOW about. I saw one 359 that was done in DLC several months ago and ever since i have been in love with that particular finish... so the decision was made I tried contacting Avitt, Taka and Kroexist (those were only ones i got good reference for) and only Kroexist got back to me. The communication was great and the guy was pretty straight forward. I sent the watch on the 15th of March and just got my QC pics from him today... At the beginning i was quite scared by the turnaround time other members were talking about across the different boards... One was saying 3mo, other 6mo, third 9 months. C'mon... such delays are truly unacceptable. So anyhow I live in Chicago and Kroexist is in the EU. The watch was with him on the 21st and took him less than 3 weeks to work his DLC magic. I am not much of an expert, so if anyone sees anything odd please share it so i can ask him to take care of any flaws before he sends it back to me... Here are the qc's i just got from him

cornerstone
The EXIF data on that photo shows the photo was taken quite a while ago....I have doubts that it may be your actual watch for QC.
redwatch
Good catch! Here is the EXIF Data showing that picture was taken on the 6th of March? Of course, it is entirely possible that the camera does not have the correct date loaded into it (rare, but possible)
panermaniac
I was looking to buy a coated 359 from him back in November. Here's the lume shot he sent me... notice anything weird? When I questioned him about the hands, he said his thumb must have been blocking them.. what???? He told me that he was banned from here, but I don't know why Edited April 3, 2012 by panermaniac

panermaniac
I was wondering who Kroexist even is. Guess I don't want to know now. To be honest, his company seems to do excellent work, The coatings are incredible and the prices aren't bad. You can look him up on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/DLCWatch or on (gasp) RepGeek
feefree
Thanks for the feedback all... i know the watch on the picture was mine because of the CG pin. Initially i lost my original pin and had a local watch maker to make a new one for me which is not exactly flat as you can see. On top of that i asked Kroexist to refinish the CG lever pin to match the OEM one at its end and he did an awesome job doing so That's why i know for a fact that the watch on the picture was mine. Initially i was very hesitation to deal with a guy on the other side of the world, but the references in RWI and RepGeek were solid and i decided to proceed .On top of that, he never asked me for prepayment or even a partial downpayment. Also the communication with him was excellent; I realize that i may be a pest from time to time with stupid question, but he always took the time to reply to my e-mail. As far as i am concerned, he is a true professional by all means... here is his FB page: http://www.facebook.com/DLCWatch I cant wait to get my baby back... Once i do i will post up some pics

feefree
Yep, i got it and am stunned by it. The dude is a real professional. I got the watch 2 weeks ago and i was stunned by the quality of the work DLC Finish Co and Kroexist did for me. It is truly a perfect pencil lead and totally love it. Bill I read your PMs coming to my email but didn't have the time to go on the board and reply to them; sorry for that, there's been alot going on at work lately. I took into account every aspect of the comments above but preferred to wait and see whats in the mail before getting into the discussion. As far as i am concerned, the guys from DLC Finish have magic hands and will definitely send them more projects and referred them to my friends. Due to the comments some of you posted above i got a bit scared and when i got the watch in i rushed it to my local watch service provider; he told me that everything was done with alot of professionalism and attention to detail. He also noticed something that Kroexist didnt even told me about. There was some sort of sealing solution that was applied to further protect the watch from water and humidity. The funny thing was that my watch guy was so impressed by the precision of the European DLC guru that wanted me to provide him with his contact information to send him business. That was enough indication to me to think that my watch was handled the best way possible. No wonder why they have more than 1k fans on Facebook. I'll try to post some pictures some time next week... P.S. I would really want to see what they are going to do with this 029M http://www.facebook.com/DLCWatch
