okram Posted November 4, 2006 Report Posted November 4, 2006 Hi, I'm researching the dealers to find the best (non swiss) pam 253 available. Trusty has one with new 7750 and sapphire glass which looks right. But some others are also claiming their watches are 7750 28.000 but from the pictures (see below) they look more as an old 7750 (non 28.000). Am I correct? Beautiful watch anyway. http://s16.photobucket.com/albums/b14/pure...mgAnch=imgAnch6 http://s39.photobucket.com/albums/e186/300...mgAnch=imgAnch8
okram Posted November 4, 2006 Author Report Posted November 4, 2006 Get the ETA version if you mean swiss eta, no, sorry, 600$ is too much for a replica like this (beautiful but not very close to gen). Back to original question - are above pictures of the old 7750? Are the dealers wrong stating 28.000?
Chronus Posted November 4, 2006 Report Posted November 4, 2006 I think I'm coming to the same conclusion that the 212 and 253 are not very accurate (even dis-regarding the non-flyback capability) and that the Asian 7750 version may be the way to go.
swdivad Posted November 5, 2006 Report Posted November 5, 2006 I don't like the crystal on the new ones... Even though it is sapphire AND AR coated, there is a lot of distortion in it that just screams fake to me. I am waiting for the finepics super crystal.
azgjav Posted November 5, 2006 Report Posted November 5, 2006 same here, prefer the mineral versions. bought a mineral swiss 253 which is absolutely beautiful!
