Has anyone retained their IWC Aquatimer 2000m rep?

It was going around during April, but didn't seem to get very popular.

Paul is now selling at $179, but is it any good, especially the white dial model.

I quite like that watch, it's nice and I came quite close once to getting it. I actually went to my local IWC AD to see if they had any further information about it but alas they had never heard of it!

It's on my list and I hope to get one off Precious Time soon. Once I do, I'll be reviewing it.

Sorry,...yes, I did request a deletion....

Recalling now, the watch I purchased had a horrible face, not only in texture,

but every one I saw, even in photos had terribly misaligned markers, especially

at the so important 12 O:Clock position.

Bezel was bad as well, the paint was very cheap looking and spotty.

Case and band weren't bad however.

Still, not worth more than $120...

If it were improved, {which I does not look like it was}...

would not be too bad a piece, but still not close to par with the

Gst or Ingen...imo

Which dial colour did you get ? I prefer the look of the white dial, but it seemed like the black dial one was good?

I selected the white face as well,.. the patina on the dial was very cheap looking.

If however you came across a gen dial and it would fit,....on second thought... the bezel

would also require a repaint,...

I think that Paul is trying to clear out old inventory that did not sell well...

Silix have the same one for around $175

I don't think this was a big seller though. Everyone was waiting for the next version or (in my case) the titanium version!

I had a white dial version and would have liked it a lot. But the 12:00 markers were not even or even parallel and the stem was too long so it would not screw down. I didn't mind the bezel paint (would have been an easy fix) and from what I understand the white dial gen was actually more of a silver/white than the plain white of the rep.

If I could get a black dial with good markers at a decent price I might buy one as I really like dive watches. It's a shame the quality was not as good as my new Ingenieur
