I have been browsing the internet to buy a genuine watch online, but i have a couple of questions.

Should i really buy a gen online? compared prices to local or tourist area jewelers are far apart

are they good for guarantee as they state?

any catch?

are the prices too good to be true?

what are your thoughts

Jomashop.com is my "grey market" vendor of choice. If you need warranty work it usually needs to go back to them.

I will second that, Jomashop.com is my go to source for Gen watches. Huge selection with the notable exception of Omega, if I'm not mistaken you cannot get an Omega from Jomashop and I'm not sure why that is.

chrono24.com might be the safest bet or rlx-sales.com

I personally wouldn't buy a gen online..

Jomashop, watchuwant, Bernardwatch, watchseller, chronomaster.co.uk, thegoldenswan

I've bought new or pre owned gens from all these and been very pleased.

Also check out watchrecon.com

Depending on mood, sales targets, which brand you're buying, whether they decide they like you, some will negotiate a discount.

I decided that i couldn't be arsed with that business model.

I research, if there's a rep version I'll wear that a while, then I'll look for used one from one of the reputable online dealers.

I believe I'd you we're looking for an omega gen the suggested dealer by watchuseek is ace jewellers. I can't personally vouch for them but WUS suggests them highly.
