Guest Daytona1984
Here are some pics of my Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Blue Arabic with the following features: gen dial gen tachymeter bezel gen hands Schwarz Etienne movement (swiss ETA 2892-2 + gen Dubois-Depraz module) double AR cyclope double AR crystal recessed crown position thinner caseback As you will see the crystal is damaged at the 8 o`clock position and the bezel has 2 dings at the 6 o`clock position. These two parts are already ordered and will be replaced soon Also, i know the double AR is not used for the ROO, but i like it Edit: Fixed the crystal and bezel issues (see last pictures) This watch was built by my friend and great watchmaker Domi. I hope you enjoy the pics and I welcome all comments

bertieng
Nice built. Is the case the current APROO rep case? Always wonder how you can rebuild the tube hole to the recess position fitting the D-P crown position. Guess only experts like Domi has the tricks. Guest Daytona1984
many thanks for the compliments guys yes, it is the current APROO rep case. the old hole has to be filled and a new one has to be drilled in
bertieng
Would have thought so......not easy works though. BTW, do you just use the cyclop come from the rep to put onto the D-P movement? It gives a perfect fit? And all the pinions on the movement matches the gen hands too?
Watchmeister
D- Per usual great stuff. That has always been one of my favorite dials. Wear that one well.

HauteHippie
Very nice indeed! I've been thinking about doing at least single AR on my crystal. These dials are just too beautiful to be hidden by reflections!

Guest Daytona1984
yes, i did use the rep cyclope and let it AR coted as per gen. if you have the pinions they will fit perfectly with the gen hands i sourced them separately (omega pinions)... Would have thought so......not easy works though. BTW, do you just use the cyclop come from the rep to put onto the D-P movement? It gives a perfect fit? And all the pinions on the movement matches the gen hands too? so true, i will also get a double AR for my white themes Very nice indeed! I've been thinking about doing at least single AR on my crystal. These dials are just too beautiful to be hidden by reflections!
bertieng
Thanks for sharing the info, mate So hard to source the gen hands really. Interesting to see the Schwarz Etienne movement have the same dimension to that of the A7750, or do you still need to mod the case to get it fit in? Sorry for asking so many question, been thinking for years to build the ROO Franken.....till I have the sufficient funds and luck to get the parts. sneed12
Interesting to see the Schwarz Etienne movement have the same dimension to that of the A7750, or do you still need to mod the case to get it fit in? 7750 is quite a bit bigger than the 2892, but that's easily solved with a spacer ring... I want to know how the offset crown position was handled!
bertieng
That's what I thought too. A spacer ring? That means this is a no amateur job. You need the lathe and material to do the machining:( Filling up the existing tube hole, and redrilling a new one needs extremely accurate machining too. mt666tm
Beautiful build. It looks so good on the rubber strap! There are threads that show detailed pics of the necessary case modding needed to make this work for those that ask the questions. Just dig a little Edited July 19, 2012 by mt666tm
