cc33
Was worried about customs but here it is, gen 7205 18k solid gold, and it looks great. Really makes all the difference.

freddy333
These bracelets are certainly costly, but the statement they make (on a Daytona) is priceless

cc33
It's the one from my last thread, 6263 gold, from dw. Thanks Freddy, yes I agree 100%, it's costly but the look and feel can't be beat!
freddy333
At this level, I think you need to replace the coronet on the dial with a gen.

cc33
I bought it on eBay over the weekend from Texas. It was 9x the price of his watch.
cc33
I was responding to another person when I said it was the one from my last thread, I meant the watch itself since he asked me for more details on the watch. Sorry about the confusion.

panerai153
Beautiful watch, and the bracelet really makes it ! Nice thing about genuine vintage Rolex, if you ever decide to sell the watch, and the buyer doesn't want to spring for the bracelet, you can more than likely get your money back and then some. cc33
Thanks, decided to go alll out actually. I emailed David, he has a v72 converted to 727, in apperance I guess. Here are his words, "Train bridge balance bridge With 5 line bridge Plate have engraving to". I'll get the hands and dial from him as well. It will be a Paul Newman gold dial with correct oyster marking. So,, I will take this mvmt dial and hands and put them into either the ndt aftermarket case or a gen that I have a small chance finding. Good thing about the ndt one is that it comes with gen pushers and a gen crown. I would only be missing the tropic 21 and that should be easy to find. With my new bracelet this should end up looking and feeling very very real, I hope..

woof*
Wow, that's not gonna be cheap either
cc33
Not even close to cheap! but at that point ill have a killer watch. They sell for over 100k and I can sell the bracelet and gen parts if I ever want to, recover some money and scrap the case at worst if I can't find a buyer.Don't think I ever will though seems like a keeper
modelizer
Dang! Looks like we got an all in situation! Looking forward to see this project evolve..
cc33
Yes definitely all in! Update; purchased an 18k solid gold rep case that comes with gen pushers crown and crystal. Was from a reputable fellow on eBay. Here are a few pics. They will engrave the serial numbers and ship it. Now I just need David to come through with the mvmt dial and hands and I'm done. I'll update when I get the case.
Donerix 2.0
And I am not even a fan of gold watches, but this is the shi@t. Awesome piece. Looks like you are really building a completely new watch, so I am calling dibs on the DW gold

cc33
The dw gold is redundant at this point so I will save it for you. I'm actually building my grail watch, I've wanted a gold vintage Daytona for a very long time and It seems like all the pieces are falling into place now. I won't wear it very often but when I do, I'm pretty sure I'm going to get some unwanted attention,, oh well goes with the territory.
