Be careful with this one, you might want to read Puretimes (Angus') reviews on service. Also the watch accepts no gen parts, arrives with a terrible crystal, missing gaskets, Inserts have to be epoxied in, non gen construction on the bezel, etc etc.

The only bonus is the ETA movement.

are going to be modding this piece or just wearing it as is?

if modding save your money for something better, if just wearing out of the box and thats it, buy and enjoy.

I bought the comex one, put a gen t-39 superdome which fit like a glove, and dipped the insert in bleach for a bit.. this is the result which is fine for me.

I can't tell you which DRSD dial to get, but what I'd do is look at www.doubleredseadweller.com and compare. Then make your choice and go for it. I like my PT Sea-Dweller, but I put an MBW dial in it- great white- and it wasn't an easy mod for me. But if you don't do too much, or nothing at all, it's OK. And it has the 2846 which is a nice slow beat movement.

If you leave the crystal and bezel assembly alone, you'll be fine.

What I did was:

nice G&S T-39 high dome crystal

custom jmb crystal retaining ring- this brings it up close to gen spec and is WR.

MBW great white dial

trim the crown guards

gen crown and aftermarket tube

It's been a great beater for me and a little more low key than a DRSD which is kinda rich for my blood

Avoid like the plague. The movement in mine totally crapped out...unfixable. Fit and finish total crap with this rep. Steel used looks dark and cheap vs my MBW.

I don't wanna mod it other than bleaching the insert a bit (btw your Comex is great cc33!).
