redwatch Posted July 12, 2012 Report Posted July 12, 2012 I found a Jules Jurgensen vintage chrono on eBay last week and for some insane reason I bought it because I liked the look of the date wheel. I only saw one day, the 19th, but something grabbed me about the font of the date wheel. I hit the "Buy Now" button and crossed my fingers...... Well it arrived today and to my surprise I got this:
asf Posted July 12, 2012 Report Posted July 12, 2012 fuuuuuuuuuhhhhh thats a beautiful DW. Plus you wont have a coffe stained number
modelizer Posted July 12, 2012 Report Posted July 12, 2012 Very nice catch S! Will look great in that "neverending" build of yours (and many others - me included)!
redwatch Posted July 12, 2012 Author Report Posted July 12, 2012 Well the never ending build has now been changed to build V2.0 This date wheel is just the first of many new additions.

redwatch Posted July 12, 2012 Author Report Posted July 12, 2012 Anyone have any suggestions as far as settings for the 1:1 scan? Resolution? Type of scanner? Should I go to a pro scanning shop or just get an off the shelf scanner and scan it myself?
HauteHippie Posted July 12, 2012 Report Posted July 12, 2012 Go to a print shop with a quality scanner. Places around here would do something like this for a buck or two.

janeto72 Posted July 12, 2012 Report Posted July 12, 2012 Red, go to a high end printer shop. The best resolution possible at a 1:1 ratio. This means that I will have less work to do if the scan is true 1:1 and i can get a crisp , sharp datewheel fabricated.
