hava
I´m an amateur in case modification, then i try that not is perfect, and probably much people can get a better outfit.Mine advantage is that i have a Rolex GMT 1675 cornino, and i use it to try make the 1655 similar.I use hand polishSorry because are iphone photos. We part of theseAfter some polishing the GC get thesePolish more get theseNext step is make thin the case, round the edges. After more polish, and make more thin/round the case After i see interesting compare the 3 cases, genuine 1675, 1655 mod to 1675 and 1655 unmodified. The 1655 is thick, not rounded edges, and the cronw is bigger. And the distance between GC is big. I think change for smail cronw but i don´t know if will be correct. These pics was before the last polish and rounded edges. Now i ask a Clark bezel and insert for 1675 and WSO bezel i will see what is better.Too i waiting for a 1675 ingod dial. The option is same movement that have the explorer or use the DG3804. If use the second one i will need a "rolex datewheel". And too i need to drill the lugholes, how i can make it? thanks for read. Only make for take funny time, i know that i can´t make it perfect. alligoat
You might check out what Rolex Addict has done in this field http://www.rwg.cc/topic/145589-gens-1675-16750-case-design-compared-with-1655-11/page__hl__%20rolex%20%201675 You need to trim on either side of the cgs to make it more like the 1675 case It would help if you removed the Explorer bezel and maybe test fit the 1675 bezel as a reference. Ok but these is for these 1675, but 1675 cornino has diferent GC. I have the a gen 1675 cornico and make the 1655 similar to 1675. I will mod other1655 to these case of 1675 because mine friend have one. Edited July 26, 2012 by hava
