I have this Day Date incomming from a well known member,

can't wait for it to arrive. I lusted for one for a long time but these are hard to get. Specially since this is an EL TW best.

I have one question for the experts. I just noticed this version has no lume dots on the dial. Is this correct or should it have lume dots?

Yes, it's correct and it is VERY nice!!! Case is a bit too large I'd say, but aside from that it looks great, really ! How are the clasp and the head hallmarks? That is usually the weakness of these reps.

Looks very good. If you want to give it a bit more authenticity, consider installing a gen crown/tube & crystal. Were it mine, since a gold bracelet would weigh noticeably more than steel, I would also replace the bracelet with a nice strap (gen or Italian aftermarket) & Rolex clasp.

True, a gen crown would be a great improvement. For the strap, I'd say I'm puzzeled: yes the weight is a major problem, but so is the poor quality of the engravings between the lugs that will show once the metal band removed. The rep dilemma !!

Day-Dates can go either way- most have lume dots but not all. Also hands can have kume or not

How's the end link fit on this watch? I can't tell if it's a Day Date case and bracelet or a DD bracelet and a DJ case.

Look at the clasp and endlink fitment.

The end link looks just fine, but for the clasp it happens on the other side.... No hallmarks on the case, dead give away....

Very nice! I briefly owned a TW Datejust, the fit and finish on these are something special.
