cougar1 Posted October 17, 2012 Report Share Posted October 17, 2012 The blue chrono is about the best of them, not superrep but not too far off, lume/Ar/pearl are issues, but tbh gen smp AR is rubbish single inner only anyway. The black chrono is also nice but the black has the added issue of having green lume and greenish markers on the rep wheras the gen has blue lume and very white markers. I agree with watchman, the current non chrono smps are a disaster beyond belief tbh. better to ask what is right with them than what is wrong with them. Too many issues to list, dial/waves/logos/He/dw/crown/pearls etc. For such a straightforward three hand watch it's ridiculous that there isnt a better rep. As said above an old now closed factory from around 2007 had a better one in production...but those are long gone! Oh very interesting. I have no idea if these still pop in the sales section though. Doesn't make sense to buy an expensive rep of the SMP Bond. I bought the gen for around $1.2K. Those old chrono smps were great also, better than the newer rasied marker version for sure.... they seem to be rarer than hens teeth these days unfortunately.
