This didn't turn out exactly as I thought it would. I cut away the dial by hand (i.e., a dremel) and that actually worked out ok, but the markers are difficult to see and when you can see them it looks a bit too flashy. Anyway, I may cut more of the dial out or just move on to another project.

would have been good if you'd also kept the second lume layer underneat the numberals. That'd give clarity to the numbers as well as great in the dark

You know, I can appreciate the effort and skill involved... but I am afraid to say that the net result is just not quite right. It goes against EVERYTHING that makes a Panerai a cool design to begin with.

I'd just cut bait and move on.
