hippohippo Posted December 14, 2012 Report Posted December 14, 2012 ......did the Sub ever have an HEV?
rosnik Posted December 14, 2012 Report Posted December 14, 2012 That's nice Q. ! I say not , the HEV is present in Seadweller models, wile..... one VINTAGE COMEX NO DATA SUBMARNER got HEV.
hippohippo Posted December 14, 2012 Author Report Posted December 14, 2012 5514 and 5513 pre-comex had a HEV Cool, so my Silix gilt Sub could be correct in having an HEV?
alligoat Posted December 15, 2012 Report Posted December 15, 2012 A gilt dial sub is too early for an HEV. Gilt dials went out in the middle 60s and HEVs showed up in the late 60s.

TeeJay Posted December 18, 2012 Report Posted December 18, 2012 Dam looks like I either have the wrong dial or the wrong case then! Here is the offending watch! Yeah man, that's a really offensive watch Just keep it as it is, Rolex are notorious for using whatever parts they had to hand back in the day, no one who saw that would think twice as to it's status
