danielv2000 Posted December 28, 2012 Report Posted December 28, 2012 I need to confirm something. Could a genuine date wheel fit on a 2836 fitted MBW 1680? Thank you in advance.
alligoat Posted December 28, 2012 Report Posted December 28, 2012 The 1575 datewheel goes in the opposite direction. A 3135 DW goes in the right direction but has the wrong fonts. Both are probably too thick.
freddy333 Posted December 28, 2012 Report Posted December 28, 2012 The dates on most Rolex date wheels run in the opposite direction from ETAs.
danielv2000 Posted December 28, 2012 Author Report Posted December 28, 2012 That's what I thought. Anyone have pics of both date wheels. I need to explain this to someone! A friend believes that since the hands on an ETA move the same way as a 1570, the same holds true for date wheels!
sneed12 Posted December 28, 2012 Report Posted December 28, 2012 Did you try... google? 1570 datewheel (google image search, 3rd result) 3135 datewheel (google image search, 5th result) 2836 datewheel (google image search, 4th result)
danielv2000 Posted December 28, 2012 Author Report Posted December 28, 2012 Sneed, oddly, i did not think of google. But, thanks for the images. Much appreciated. Just what I was looking for.
alligoat Posted December 28, 2012 Report Posted December 28, 2012 Hey sneed, I actually think your second pic is of a 3035- DW goes the same way as the 1575 and the open 6's and 9's Here's a 3135
